Welcome
The auction of the giants.
A word of explanation about this auction. We have decided to organize an auction where koi toppers are offered at 70% of their value as a starting price. Yes, they are all fantastic koi and this puts us at a certain risk. So we are now taking a different tack. The risk is clearly there. It is possible that we may make a mistake, but if we don't try, we will never know. We will be offering 10 koi of very high quality in the auction next week. These will be available to view from Tuesday, February 27, 5:00 AM to Sunday, March 3, 6:00 PM. Bidding can start on Thursday from 5am. Bidding is possible in steps of 100 euros per bid. If you make an offer on a koi and you don't get any response, then you are doing a great deal and we will go into the boat. If there is a bid and the price goes above normal value, we will experience the Japanese auction successes and we will be satisfied. So follow the auction with suspicion. There will be 5 koi from Interkoi Ameide, and 5 koi from Interkoi Arendonk. The koi can of course stay until mid-April. One sanke is still in Japan and will remain azukari. It is the last, and also the smallest. Just let you know that the koi are in different locations. Ameide = Interkoi Ameide (NL) Arendonk = Interkoi Arendonk (BE) Spijkenisse = Interkoi Netherlands (NL) Finally wake up and revive the koi feeling!

60 cm / Nisai / Female
Description:
Particularly valuable sanke laced with high-quality tsubo sumi. A sanke from Momotaro's stable that is built to provide length and width and will give your pond an extra appearance. Breeder: Momotaro
Variety: Tancho kohaku
68 cm / Sansai / Female
Description:
This tancho kohaku comes from the stable of Tamaura, who is known as a renowned breeder and is mainly known in Japan, perhaps less so in Europe. It is especially appreciated for koi with sublime skin quality. This year we have invested quite a bit in high-quality koi from Tamaura. This koi is located in Arendonk.
No: 376
Breeder: Momotaro
Variety: Kohaku
62 cm / Nisai / Female
Description:
One hell of a kohaku from Momotaro. Daisuke and his team have focused on growing kohaku in recent years. This resulted in a fantastic result with many big prizes at the AJKS. He explained to me that Momotaro koi prefer to be bred with a flowing backbone and not with a swollen back. The choice is of course up to the koi lover, but we have always been a huge fan of Momotaro and always will be. This koi is located in Ameide (NL)

Breeder: Momotaro
Variety: Kohaku
55 cm / Nisai / Male
Description:
Folks, what a beautifully balanced multi-step kohaku, I can watch it for hours. My absolute favorite of the male kohaku. And no, don't start whining about male or female because male kohaku have almost approached the level of female koi. In addition, they are better suited for smaller ponds. They can also grow to 80 cm, as they have proven in the past, and I should know. This koi is located in Arendonk (BE)

No: 383
Breeder: Sakai FF
Variety: Sanke
15 cm / Tosai / Unsexed
Description:
Finally our benjamin. Only 15 cm, but it will remain azukari for another year. I estimate her final size to be between 50-55 cm after a season of mudpond. I am not making this from my thumb, but I dare to say this from experience. Tension is always present at azukari, and yes, a sanke from Sakai FF now enjoys a high degree of appreciation and rightly so. Is this a good investment. What I see tells me yes, but I can't sell certainty. this sanke is still in Japan and will remain there this azukari season until November this year. The koi is owned by Interkoi Arendonk (BE)
No: 389
Breeder: Momotaro
Variety: Yondan maruten kohaku
55 cm / Nisai / Female
Description:
A dream of a yondan maruten kohaku. Could it be any more beautiful, and certainly not with this exceptionally strong beni that radiates on a snow-white shiroji. A feast for the eyes and a project of Momotaro that they are currently working on. The pattern is simply sublime. The koi is located in Spijkenisse, Interkoi Netherlands (NL)
